March 3, dinner. At the hotel restaurant, Crowne Plaza Denver. Bad. This was supposed to be a pulled pork sandwich, but it was actually a very tough pork chop with some hot sauce on it. Astonishingly bad.

March 4, lunch. The box lunch I got was horrible. The sandwich was so bad I threw out the bottom half and folded it over. Turkey swiss, how can you ruin that? I gave the orange to my cab driver and ate the cookie.

March 4, dinner. Jan made an italian sausage fritatta. Delicious. The smell of onions woke me up from a deep nap.

March 5, breakfast. On the way to the airport. I wanted to go to Raging Sage, but they were not open at 6:13 AM, so I went to Coffee X Change and had a cappuccino.

March 5, breakfast. Some cheese and crackers, aboard Delta flight Tucson to Atlanta.

March 5, lunch. A chocolate chunk granola bar. Why do people think that these are good for you?

March 5, dinner. Italian sausage burger and fries at the Hilton City Avenue Philadelphia. Could have been worse. Could have been a lot better.

March 6, breakfast. Very small bagel and weak coffee. Hilton City Avenue, Philadelphia.

March 6, Lunch - at the Philadelphia Hilton. The icky one outside of town. Cold cuts and a coke. They probably paid $45 for this.

March 6 - Snack. At Delta Crown room in Philadelphia Airport. Olives, crunchy carbohydratey things, and a beer.

March 6, dinner. Aboard flight from Philadelphia to Salt Lake City. Chicken over rice, with various airline stuff. Not fun.

March 6, Dessert. A yogurt thing in Salt Lake City airport. I wanted Ben & Jerry's, but they closed it. Or moved it.

March 7. A carnitas burrito from Nicos. After a hard day of power outages, this was good.

March 7, dinner. At Zemam's, Ethiopian food with Jan, Rose, and Mark. And a bottle of Cliquot.

March 8, Breakfast. The usual.

March 8, Snack. A Dove dark chocolate thing. Jan got a bunch of these for her birthday and foolishly left them laying about the house.

March 8, snack. At the grocery store, someone offers me a chocolate biscotto. It was OK.

March 8, Lunch. Austin's Ice Cream. A Tucson tradition (my mom used to take food there from my dad, when it was across the street from his office). This is a patty melt, what I always order when I go to Austin's. Something is missing from the atmosphere.

March 8, Lunch. And a chocolate milkshake.

March 8, snack. Some manchego cheese and apricots. Very good combination.

March 8, dinner. Jan made spanakopita (really hortokopita, since it's not just spinach). Really good.

March 9, breakfast. The usual.

March 9, snack. More Dove chocolates. Jan should not have left them laying around.

March 9, lunch. We are up in Phoenix and go to an Italian restaurant I can't remember the name of. There is bread, and pasta. This is the bread.

March 9, lunch. Pasta. Specifically, arrabiata, but with sausage added.

March 9, dinner. I made this. A rolled leg of lamb (boneless), rice pilaf with currants. Jan made the greens, from her garden.

March 9, dessert. Ice Cream and chocolate chip banana nut bread.

March 10, Breakfast. The usual.

March 10, Lunch. At Beyond Bread. Half of a chicken sandwich (the daily special), vinegar cole slaw, and an iced tea.

March 10, lunch. Beyond Bread puts out free bread and butter and I eat some un-needed but tasty calories.
