June 4, breakfast. Yet another iced cappuccino at Raging Sage, Tucson.

June 4, lunch. BrushFire BBQ in Tucson with John Stone. Brisket, vinegar cole slaw, house potato salad, bread. Generally pretty good. Many of the sides there are weak, but these are the good ones. The mustard potato salad is particularly disappointing.

June 4, late dinner. A chile relleno burrito from Nico's and a Coke.

June 5, breakfast. Raspberry jam scone from Raging Sage, plus iced cappuccino.

June 5, lunch at my desk. Leftover ribs, leftover cole slaw, leftover potatoes. Still very good, all of them. The ribs are getting a little aggressive, tastewise. If you want them cold, I think under-season during cooking.

June 5, late night snack. Two amaretto chocolate balls up at La Rosa Health Care Center.

June 5, dinner. On the way to airport, at Samantha's urging, I went to In-n-Out Burger to re-affirm that it's bad. Yes, it's bad. I mean, it's a burger. And the fries are pretty good. But overall, not what one wants to survive on without turning into a blimp with indigestion.

June 6, breakfast. The usual. Jan is home!

June 6, lunch. A chicken sandwich in pita bread from Beyond Bread, along with vinegar slaw. I guess I don't know if the make the pita bread or not.

June 6, snack. Some peanuts. I probably snitched those from an airline lounge somewhere.

June 6, dinner. Sushi at Toshiyama! Start with edamame.

June 6, dinner. Miso soup.

June 6, dinner. Some nice Unagi without a massive overcoating of sweet sauce. Also warm, an important part of the picture.

June 6, dinner. More sushi. Yellowtail, regular salmon, and tune. In the back is a spicy tuna roll.

June 6, dinner. Softshell crab roll.

June 6, dinner. Smoked salmon sushi, a particular specialty. Very good.

June 6, dinner. More lovely tuna sushi.

June 6, dinner. Caterpillar roll. Cute.

June 6, dessert. Some Laughing Magpie 2002 at home with Rose and Mark.

June 7, breakfast. The usual. Plus fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice, compliments of Jan!

June 7, lunch. A roast beef and gorgonzola cheese sandwich from Beyond Break (along with vinegar slaw and iced tea). Up at La Rosa, visiting mom.

June 7, snack. Some pretzels.

June 7, late dinner. At Vero Amore, their salad. Very strange construction, but hidden underneath all that is some very good mozzarella cheese. On top are good tomatoes and prosciutto. The greens were there, but probably more than needed. I split this with Jan.

June 7, dinner. At Vero Amore, a capriccioso pizza, split with Jan.

June 8, breakfast. The usual.

June 8, lunch. Salad with cheese, sausage, garden fresh tomatoes.

June 8, dinner at El Charro with Sonia and Bryan and Xiaomara. Starting with chips and salsa, of course. El Charro is a Tucson tradition and a tourist trap but we were looking for exceptional fish tacos and they have them. Plus a very nice outside patio.

June 8, dinner. El Charro fish tacos. Very well done. I had two fish and one shrimp and they were all very tasty. Not known for its fish tacos, yet they are very good. Little known secret you're discovering by reading this silly caption.

June 9, breakfast. The usual.

June 9, second breakfast. At Raging Sage, another iced cappuccino and a cranberry scone.
