November 29, lunch. Some cucumber salad. Not as good as it has been before.

November 29, lunch. A piece of cheescake. We divided this into thirds, and it still was an enormous piece of dessert.

November 30, breakfast. The usual.

November 30, snack. A piece of an Epi from Beyond Bread.

November 30, lunch. Salad of Jan's fresh greens, fresh peppers, and other vegetables and olives. At home with Jan in Tucson. On the patio.

November 30, dinner. Leftover Thanksgiving Dinner, at home, with Dale, Barbara, Don, and Jan. Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, sprouts, cranberry sauce.

November 30, dessert. Barbara's Pumpkin Streusel pie.

December 1, the usual.

December 1, lunch. Some homemade chicken soup. I was sick. At home with Jan.

December 1, snack. A date.

December 1, dnner. Leftover Thanksgving dinner: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffng, cranberry sauce. With Jan at home.

December 1, dessert. A turkey truffle from Joseph Schmidt.

December 2, breakfast. The usual, plus a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice.

December 2, lunch. Some soup from the freezer, with Jan at home.

December 2, dinner. Leftovers from Thanksgiving: pumpkins stuffed with sausage, rice, and other tasty bits, plus some parmesan toast thingies. Very good. Not cold enough outside though. Winter is yet to come.

December 3, breakfast. The usual, plus a glass of fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice.

December 3, lunch. A carnitas taco from Nico's, with a side order of rice (shared with Jan), and a Coke. Out at Nico's. Very very tasty, and even a bit overstuffed!

December 3, dinner. Some soup (from a can, sorry) and a half of a tortilla with mayo. This was a tortilla based on leftover mashed potatoes and it worked pretty well, although didn't taste at all like a tortilla should. Still, an interesting use of old mashed potatoes. With a Nouveau Beaujolais from Drouhin.

December 3, dessert. A Joseph Schmidt truffle.

December 4, breakfast. The usual, plus a glass of fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice.

December 4, lunch. A salad, at home, with Jan. Fresh greens from the garden, sausage, tomatoes, olives.

December 4, snack. A dried fig.

December 4, dinner. Last of the leftover mashed potatoes, warmed with browned sausage and a mustard sauce on the side. "Bangers and Mash" quick style. Very good. With Jan at home.

December 4, dessert. A Joseph Schmidt truffle.

December 5, breakfast. The usual.

December 5, lunch. At Pho 88, a bowl of chicken noodle pho. With basil and sprouts of course. Very good when you're not feeling well, which was me.

December 5, lunch dessert. A fortune cookie from Pho 88.

December 5, dinner. Some Amatriciana (from sauce I had made earlier in the year and put in the freezer, not fresh-made). On little fusili gemelli. Good; the sauce keeps very well and while it wasn't crunchy in the guanciale bits, it was still very good.

December 6, breakfast. The usual, at home.
