April 24, lunch. Aboard flight Paris-New York. Some very tasty appetizers, including olives, mozzarella, and peppers. Salad, a roll. Good.

April 24, snack. Some fruit and cheese. Not sure of the exact cheeses, but a blue, a Grueyere/Comte, and what sure tasted like a cheddar.

April 24, Snack. Aboard flight Paris-New York, a chocolate chip cookie.

April 24, lunch. Some chocolate cake and a salad. Flight from JFK to LAS.

April 24, dinner. At Restaurant Charles in Las Vegas, an amuse bouche based on crab. Very tasty.

April 24, dinner appetizer. Restaurant Charles at the Palazzo. Icelandic langoustine, razor clams, morels, potatoes. Delicious, although other folks had better ones.

April 24, Restaurant charles. A tasty roll.

April 24, dinner. Hand harvested diver scallops with green foam and a garlic aioli. Very nice.

April 24, dinner. A side dish of french breakfast radishes, cooked with raisins. Nicely tasty.

April 24, dessert. Four little treats, plus the bbs. The lower left was a pear curl; the right a chocolate with eucalyptus (strange, not bad). Upper left a chocolate with balsamic vinegar reduction dot and upper right a bit of crunchy chocolate thingy. The bbs were too adorable.

April 25, breakfast. Chocolate Swan, Mandalay Place (Las Vegas). A capuccino and a scone. The scone was good. Not freshly baked, but still good.

April 25, Lunch. Fish and Chips from the Burger place in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center Food Court. This is possibly the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Really. So inedible that I ate less than half. Awful.

April 25, snack. Some Valrohna chocolate-enrobed nuts. View out my hotel room window, Luxor, Las Vegas.

April 25, late snack. Cheese plate left in the Volunteer Lounge. Some manchego and apricots were very tasty!

April 25, snack. Ate a huge cookie. Shouldn't have.

April 25, dinner. At Border Grill, chips and 3 salsas. Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas.

April 25, dinner. Carnitas and plantain at Border Grill. Not bad at all, although I found the plantain to be just a bit wrong. I think that conceptually it would have been good, but this lacked in execution. Still, the carnitas was great.

April 26, breakfast. Capuccino from Chocolate Swan.

April 26, breakfast. Some tasty thick peppered bacon stolen from the volunteer lounge, Mandalay Bay. Las Vegas, Interop.

April 26, snack. An Opus chocolate. Couldn't resist.

April 26, lunch. Red White and Blue at Mandalay Bay, a Reuben. Thousand Island on the side (and untouched). Good example, alhtough a bit overenthusiastically overstuffed.

April 26, snack. A Fat Tire and a Fast Break candy bar, frozen.

April 26, dinner. Cape Cod before the Foo Fighters concert. Mandalay Bay, Interop, etc.

April 26, late night dinner (1AM) at Raffles Cafe (but not having anything to do with Singapore). Another sandwich.

April 27, breakfast. Some Valrohna chocolate covered almonds and hazelnuts. Not all of these, but just some of them. Very delicious.

April 27, lunch. Some sort of meat and red sauce from the volunteer lounge.

April 27, dessert. A frozen Dove Bar ice cream thingy. Very tasty. Not too cold or too hard.

April 27, dinner. At Rosemary's Restaurant, Las Vegas. Two rolls, one a potato bread and one a white chocolate (really!) roll. Very nice before dinner and perfectly balanced blend of sweet and savory.

April 27, dinner. Rosemary's Restaurant, an amuse bouche of a won-ton

April 27, dinner, Rosemary's Restaurant. Pan fried veal sweetbreads. Delicious. Possibly best I've ever had.
